Sadhguru and Isha Outreach are India’s biggest advertisers on Meta for social causes

On Tuesday, Spiritual leader Sadhguru’s non-profit organization, Isha Outreach have become India’s biggest advertiser as they spent ₹1.35 lakhs per day on Facebook and Instagram between April 27 and July 25.

According to the report of Hyderabad-based enterprise digital marketing agency Pyrite Technologies, Sadhguru and Isha Outreach’s Conscious Planet are India’s largest advertisers on Meta platforms in the social and political causes category. They spent a total of 1.20 crores on Facebook and Instagram.

He has been teaching yoga in southern India since 1982. In 1992, he established the Isha Foundation near Coimbatore which operates a yoga center that carries out educational activities.

In 2017, he was awarded the Padma Vibhushan, India’s second-highest civilian award, for his contributions to social welfare.

According to Wikipedia, Vasudev’s first business was a poultry farm in a remote part of Mysore that he set up with borrowed money. During the process of constructing his farm, he also entered into the construction business with a company named Buildaids.

He taught his first yoga class in Mysore in 1983. Over time, he started conducting yoga classes across Karnataka and Hyderabad traveling on his motorcycle, subsisting on the produce of his poultry farm rental, and donating the collections received from his students.
