The feature will be highly useful in today’s world of constant virtual communication. Video Conferences are now not only part of distant office and business conferences but also a great tool for learning in academic spaces.
Ever since the pandemic, apps like Zoom, Google Meet, etc took over the communication space as time demanded accordingly. One feature which was highly important in this virtual video mode of communication was the ability to share the host’s screen. The host in a conference/class would usually try to show his materials to his audience through his laptop or phone or another device. In a video conference, this raises the demand for the host platform to be capable of screen sharing.
As WhatsApp has been constantly upgrading and enhancing its features, this newly added feature will surely boost the functional demand of the already popular social media platform.
It would be interesting to see the effect this new feature of WhatsApp might have on other popular video conference apps like Zoom, Google Meet, etc.
