Supreme court grants interim bail to ALT News cofounder Mohammed Zubair in all the six FIRs
On Wednesday, Alt News co-founder, Mohammed Zubair was granted interim bail by the Supreme court in all the six FIRs registered against him.
According to ANI, Supreme Court says that Mohammed Zubair shall be released on bail subject to furnishing of a bail bond of Rs 20,000. It is said that Zubair can move Delhi High Court for quashing all or any of the FIRs registered against him.
The court said that the transfer of the FIRs shall apply to all existing FIRs and to all future FIRs that may be registered on the issue.

SC on Monday agreed to hear the plea of Zubair on July 20 seeking interim bail, quashing all six FIRs lodged against him.
In the meantime, the Supreme Court has said that no perceptive steps should be taken against Zubair in connection with all the FIRs filed against him.
Zubair sought an urgent listing of the plea in the apex court seeking to quash the FIRs lodged against in several districts of Uttar Pradesh for allegedly outraging religious sentiments.
“Separate FIRs have been lodged against Zubair in Sitapur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Ghaziabad, Muzaffarnagar, and Hathras districts on charges of allegedly hurting religious feelings, making sarcastic remarks on news anchors, disrespecting Hindu gods, and inflammatory posts,” a source as per Indian Express.
