Twitter Down: The leading social networking platform faces a worldwide outage

Twitter reportedly went down across the globe today. Twitter users said that once they entered the leading social networking platform they were faced with a “something went wrong try reloading” error. They were even barred from using messaging services offered by the company.

According to an independent outage monitor Down Detector, Twitter users from the U.K. started having issues with their accounts around 1 p.m. UK time. Down Detector Uk recorded a peak of around 98,000 reports of Twitter down.

Reportedly about 57% of total Twitter users were affected by the issues with the Twitter app while almost 38% were having problems loading the Twitter website.

After Twitter was restored and users could gain access to their accounts they started filling the social networking platform with funny memes with the hashtag Twitter Down.
