Twitter is again down with a message Rate Limit Exceeded for some users

Twitter is yet again down for Android users only, while iOS and desktop users can still access Twitter. Recently Twitter made some drastic changes that involved users’ compulsory sign-in to view tweets. The reason given by Twitter and Elon Musk is that a lot of data scrapping was happening on Twitter, thus putting a lot of pressure on the servers.

Now coming back to the same concern, as per the down detector the issue started at 5:52 PM. So far no information has been released by Twitter as to why this issue is happening. But hopefully, this issue will be resolved soon.

You can try these fixes and see if it does work for you

Solution #1: Wait for the Timeout

When faced with an error message that restricts your account usage, it is often advisable to wait patiently for a certain period until the limitation is lifted. Utilize this time to take a break, stretch your legs, or engage in other activities. In most cases, your account will be reinstated within a few minutes.

Solution #2: Reset Your Twitter Account Password

If waiting for the account limit to expire is not a feasible option, there is an alternative method that has been reported by users in similar situations. Changing your Twitter account password has proven to effectively reset the timer associated with the error. However, it is recommended to resort to this solution only if you find yourself without other alternatives.
