Twitter looking to subpoena Senator Elizabeth Warren in regards to communications with US agencies
In recent developments, Twitter Daily News updated that Twitter is going to subpoena Senator Elizabeth Warren in regard to communications with US agencies. In regard to this, Twitter has requested a court to terminate a trade consent order that was struck last year with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) related to data breaches.

According to reports, the subpoena to Warren requested communications related to Twitter and/or Elon Musk between her office and the FTC as well as her office and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Last year, Twitter laid off thousands of employees subsequently after Elon Musk took over the platform. It also cut costs for employees while doing so, which consequently gave way to questions as to whether the platform had the resources to comply with the FTC consent order.
However, in recent developments, Twitter requested for the consent order to be scrapped last week. The platform has accused FTC of bias and overreach in fillings in federal court in San Francisco.
When questions were raised last year, Warren was one of the Democratic senators who motivated the agency to investigate Twitter’s privacy policies. She even urged enforcement actions against the executives accordingly.
However, Warren’s office, the SEC, and the FTC did not put forward any comment when requested.
