Twitter recently blocked Indian IT Minister’s Ravi Shankar Prasad twitter Account for 1 hour and here is the reason why
There has been a tussle between the Government of India and Twitter recently because according to government sources twitter is not following the rules of the land. However, it took a different turn when Twitter blocked the IT Minister’s Twitter account for one hour.
Twitter gave the reason as the account violated US DMCA law that prohibits sharing of copyright data. Twitter also said that they had received a complaint regarding the same.
Ravi Shankar Prasad also shared the same on his Twitter account of two screenshots in one shows that his account has been blocked and in the second one when his account was unlocked.
Friends! Something highly peculiar happened today. Twitter denied access to my account for almost an hour on the alleged ground that there was a violation of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of the USA and subsequently they allowed me to access the account. pic.twitter.com/WspPmor9Su
