Twitter Safety poll will decide the fate of other social media platforms account on Twitter
Since Musk has taken over Twitter there have been a number of changes to it. A Series of changes has not yet stopped and one of the major things that have come forth is the suspension of accounts. Twitter safety has started a poll on Twitter itself asking for a policy.
This policy is concerned with preventing the creation of for use of existing accounts for the main purpose of advertising other social media platforms. It reflects that sooner or later all the Twitter accounts that are related to other social media platforms will be removed or barred from advertising.
Users can cast their vote on this poll but it reflects another kind of story. Recently homegrown microblogging platform Koo’s social media handle was suspended on Twitter. This suspension came after an account for angry tweets by its co-founders who questioned the rationale behind the move. There would be a series of removal or suspension of accounts on Twitter. Just a few days back Elon Musk Twitter suspended a number of accounts related to journalists which no doubt shows the autocracy of Musk.
Should we have a policy preventing the creation of or use of existing accounts for the main purpose of advertising other social media platforms?
