Twitter Starts to Offer Free Blue Ticks To Celebrities, Including Actors and Sportspersons?

Twitter has started offering free blue tick marks to celebrities who are not subscribed to Twitter Blue. Celebrities including actors, sportspersons and others will receive the blue tick mark.

Here’s what we know.

Free Blue Tick Marks?

A well-known tipster, Abhishek Yadav claims that Twitter has started offering free blue tick marks to celebrities who haven’t subscribed to Twitter Blue. He claims that Twitter is offering it to celebrities like actors, sportspersons, and more, free of cost, and even celebrities from India will be receiving the blue tick mark. Many of the celebrities who have died are also offered the blue tick mark.

Yadav also adds that Twitter is offering free blue tick marks to celebrities with over one million followers.

However, it is to be noted that Twitter hasn’t officially declared any such privileges and had also recently updated its terms of service, after which many prominent Twitter users including the Indian actor Shah Rukh Khan and politicians like Rahul Gandhi and M.K. Stalin lost their blue tick marks on Friday.

It should also be noted that many celebrities who are not alive today have their accounts verified and the list includes Anthony Bourdain, Norm Mcdonald, Kirstie Alley, John McCain, Chester Bennington, and others. However, to add to this, Musk has also mentioned that he was personally paying for several Twitter users and had mentioned the names of Stephen King, William Shatner, and LeBron James who are being sponsored by him.

This makes it unclear whether Twitter is actually offering the free blue tick marks or not and we’ll have to wait for an official declaration from Twitter to confirm it.
