Twitter to charge $1,000 per month for their gold badges
Twitter has been experiencing new updates and features since Elon Musk took over as the CEO of it. People say that Twitter has been more interesting since then but different people have different opinions about this.
All of us know about the new feature on Twitter called the Blue Tick. Elon recently started charging people for its Blue Tick Service as a subscription. Now the feature has been expanded to six more countries making a toral of 12 countries where users can subscribe to it.
Now, according to the new reports suggested by business standard, Twitter is going to charge $1,000 per month from businesses/brands and organizations for retaining their gold badges. They’ll lose their check marks if they discontinue to pay.
A screenshot posted by social media consultant Matt Navarra suggested that Twitter is going to charge this extra amount.
“Twitter is reportedly emailing businesses offering gold check mark verification for $1000 PER MONTH! And affiliate account verification for $50 each per month,” tweeted Navarra, as reported by business standard.
“As an early access subscriber, you’ll get a gold checkmark for your organization and affiliation badges for its associates,” read an email sent by Twitter to businesses, “If you’d like to subscribe, Verified for Organisations is $1,000 per month, and $50 per additional affiliated handle per month with one month of free affiliations,” it added.
Twitter relaunched its Blue Tick Subscription in December last year and started costing $8 for Android users and $11 for iPhone owners per month for their check marks.
