Varun Gandhi tweets: ‘Jaa aur ro ab’ in response to Kangana Ranaut’s ‘India achieved freedom in 2014’ remark

Varun Gandhi replied to Kangana Ranaut's recent comments about India's freedom at an event through Twitter.

Kangana Ranaut has found herself in hot water once more. Kangana Ranaut spoke about India and its struggle for independence at a recent event, and her remarks enraged many.

Kangana Ranaut claimed at the Times Now Summit that the Congress is a continuation of British tyranny and that India achieved “true freedom” in 2014, referring to Narendra Modi’s election as Prime Minister. She went on to say that India received ‘bheek’ (alms) in 1947.

Varun Gandhi, a politician, and BJP MP, slammed her remark in a tweet. “Insulting Mahatma Gandhi’s sacrifice at times, honoring his assassin at others, and now disdain for Mangal Pandey, Rani Laxmibai, Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, and thousands of other freedom warriors. Should I label this irrationality or treason? “He sent out a tweet. “It’s an anti-national act that needs to be called out. Not doing so would be a betrayal of all those who gave their lives so that we might stand strong and free today “According to PTI, Varun Gandhi remarked.

“Even though I clearly highlighted that the 1857 liberation war was the first revolution that was stopped…,” Kangana replied on Instagram in response to his comment. It resulted in more British atrocities and cruelties, and nearly a century was given to us in Gandhi’s begging bowl… “Jaa aur ro ab (Cry a little more).”

Preethi Menon, the Aam Aadmi Party’s national executive chairman, has filed a complaint with the Mumbai Police Department seeking an FIR against Kangana.

Kangana also discussed her recent Padma Shri award and answered questions about her personal life during the ceremony. She also mentioned that she looked in the audience for Karan Johar but couldn’t find him. “There can be disagreements and confrontations, but it doesn’t imply you don’t believe in coexistence.” Coexistence is something I believe in. “I believe in the peaceful coexistence of all kinds,” she stated. Kangana and Karan have had a long-running feud.
