Voice status has been added , allowing users to record and share voice messages of up to 30 seconds on Whatsapp status . Well this new update would be of great help for users if they want to share a voice message with all of their contacts . The hustle of sending the voice message separately to each contact can now be avoided with this new update introduced by Whatsapp .
Well not just the Voice status , there are 4 more updates related to the status feature of Whatsapp –
- Link Preview – If you post a link in your status , your contacts can now see a visual preview of the link posted , getting a idea of what the link is about .
- Status reactions – Just like Instagram , now you can react to a whatsapp status by swiping up and tapping on one of the eight emojis
- Private Audience selection – This isn’t a new update , earlier we could choose contacts who view our status but the upgradation is now the most recent audience selection will be saved and used as default setting for future status updates
- Status Profile rings – Again a similar feature to Instagram , whenever a person in your contact list updates a status , a ring will appear around your contact’s profile picture . This makes it easy to see status updates within chat lists , group participant lists and contact info .
According to Whatsapp , these updates have started rolling out to all users globally and will be available to everyone in coming weeks .
