WhatsApp to block Screenshots for “View Once” content

To View Once option allows the users to send images and videos to others that got disappeared after it was opened. But it was not successful as many users started taking screenshots and recordings of it.

As per reports to solve this issue, WhatsApp has been working on it and in its latest beta version, it has blocked the Screenshots and Screen Recordings for the View Once content to provide more privacy to the users.

Now a message saying that “the screenshot was blocked for added privacy” appears if someone tries to take a screenshot while viewing “View Once” content.

This feature is still specific to a few people, but it will be soon available for everyone with WhatsApp’s new update as soon as this testing gets over.

WhatsApp has also included many more features. Along with this now private video group calls can be initiated for up to 22 people which was previously limited to only 8.

Steps for creating a call:

  1. Tap on the Calls tab
  2. Tap Create Call link
  3. Select your call type, voice, or video
  4. Tap the share Link or Copy the link and send it to others

This is feature is supported by both Android and iOS devices. And the link created by you gets expired if you don’t use it for 90 days.
