Where is Edward Snowden and why he hasn’t tweeted over Russia Attacking Ukraine?

Edward Joseph Snowden is an American former computer intelligence specialist who, while working for the National Security Agency as a subcontractor in 2013, disclosed highly sensitive material.

Where is Edward Snowden now?

After working for Dell and the CIA, Snowden was employed by an NSA contractor, Booz Allen Hamilton, in 2013.  Snowden claims that he got disillusioned with the operations with which he was involved over time and that he attempted to voice his ethical concerns through internal channels but was disregarded. After abandoning his position at an NSA site in Hawaii on May 20, 2013, Snowden travelled to Hong Kong, where he leaked thousands of classified NSA papers to journalists Glenn Greenwald, Laura Poitras, Barton Gellman, and Ewen MacAskill in early June. After pieces based on the material appeared in The Guardian, The Washington Post, and other publications, Snowden gained international notoriety.

Snowden also levelled other claims against the GCSB, including domestic surveillance of New Zealanders and espionage under John Key’s administration.

Snowden was charged with two counts of breaching the 1917 Espionage Act and theft of government property by the US Department of Justice on June 21, 2013, and his passport was revoked by the Department of State.

He flew into Moscow’s Sheremetyevo International Airport two days later, where Russian police discovered the revoked passport and detained him for over a month in the airport terminal. After then, Russia granted Snowden shelter and issued him a one-year residence permit, which was eventually extended several times. He was given permanent residency in Russia in October 2020.

Netizens are asking questions about why Edward Snowden hasn’t replied to anything on Twitter about Russia attacking Ukraine?

Edward Snowden had been vocal about how NSA was trying to build software to lay its eyes on everyone. He even said that jow NSA was tracking the cell phone data of every USA citizen.

However many netizens are asking questions as to where Edward Snowden is as there hasn’t been anything said by the activist.

The last tweet of Edward Snowden is from February 28, 2022. He said I’m not suspended from the ceiling above a barrel of acid by a rope that burns a little faster every time I tweet, you concern-trolling ghouls. I’ve just lost any confidence I had that sharing my thinking on this particular topic continues to be useful because I called it wrong.
