According to the farmer, the dealer mocked him and told him that the car he wanted to buy was not worth ten rupees. He further claimed that the salesman told him that no one buys the car in such a huge group. Kempegowda was so offended by this that he gathered ten lakh rupees in an hour and demanded quick delivery of the car. For the money, he turned to his friends.
The farmer and his companion were taken aback by the reaction, so showroom workers assured them that the automobile will be delivered in three days. Kempegowda afterwards filed a police complaint against the showroom personnel at Tumkur’s Tilaknagar police station for being impolite and mocking him. In the aftermath, the showroom salesman and other staff apologised to Kempegowda and offered him a handwritten apology letter. Following the apologies, the police settled the case peacefully.
