Why Automotive Giants Hyundai and Kia surrendered to Indians after Kashmir Controversy?

Automobile Giants were both startled with a  sudden boycott running o social media platforms. This happened on the 5th of Feb 2022, when a post emerged with a message of Solidarity with Kashmir freedom. People were startled to see that their loved brand is promoting hatred against the nation. This led to trending to Boycott Hyundai and Boycott Kia. Things went out of hand when Hyundai India blocked Indians from asking questions on its platform.

This angered the Indians more, that why this company is not answering. Then came an apology by the Korean brand but that wasn’t accepted by the Indians at all.

After all this, people started showing proof that they are canceling the booking of Hyundai Creta. Hyundai Creta is the best-selling car of Hyundai in India.

Next thing was that the Indian government called the Korean ambassador to put their strong views against the post that were floating o the internet. This information was released by the MEA(Ministry of External Affairs).

Finally, both Hyundai and KIA Motors gave their unconditional apology to Indians. Both car manufacturers stated that they have removed the post that was derogatory in nature and should have been posted in the first place. Both companies state that they have put in checks now and will make sure that this thing doesn’t happen again. Both companies also stated that they feel India is their second home.
