Whether you like Elon Musk or not, you have to admire his Twitter tweets. Mr Musk’s tweets are humorous, and he isn’t afraid to poke fun at himself at times. Mr Musk, who has a 9.2 per cent investment in Twitter and just joined its board of directors, started a poll on his 81 million-follower Twitter account on Sunday morning.

Elon Musk has now bought Twitter making him 9.2pc owner to 100pc owners.

He joked that Twitter’s headquarters in San Francisco should be converted into a homeless shelter because “no one comes up (to work there) anyhow.”

Within three hours of being uploaded, the poll received over 6.3 lakh votes, with over 91 percent of those voting yes.

Mr. Musk was just named to Twitter’s board of directors. That comes after it was disclosed that Mr Musk will own 9.2 percent of Twitter, making him the company’s largest shareholder.

Apart from the poll, Mr Musk proposed a variety of changes to the Twitter Blue membership service, including decreasing the price, banning advertising, and allowing users to pay using cryptocurrency. He also recommended that Twitter Blue subscribers obtain a “authentication checkmark,” which would be distinct from public figures and official accounts being verified. Twitter Blue subscribers have access to bookmark folders, an undo tweet option, and reader mode, among other things.

An authentication checkmark should be given to everyone who registers up for Twitter Blue (i.e. pays $3/month).
