Both the Apple iPhone 13 Mini and the Apple iPhone 12 smartphone have similar specs and the big difference between the two smartphones is in its size. The iPhone 13 is made as a compact smartphone with a much more reduced size. This has however made the company to compromise on some of its features.
Starting with the performance, the two devices will offer similar performance but the Apple iPhone 13 Mini will be able to offer a slightly better performance than the other. The Apple iPhone 13 Mini is equipped with the Apple A15 Bionic chipset whereas the Apple iPhone 12 comes with the previously launched A14 Bionic chipset. Both the devices also has the same primary clock speed of 3.1 GHz.
As mentioned, the company had to compromise on some of the specs in the iPhone 13 Mini smartphone and on of the spec compromised is the display. The device only has a 5.4″ display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. On the other hand, the Apple iPhone 13 has a larger display with a screen size of 6.1 inches and a better screen resolution of 1170 x 2532 pixels.
The cameras both on the front and on the rear of the two smartphones remain the same. Both the devices have a 12MP + 12MP dual camera setup on its rear along with a front facing camera of 12MP.
The other place where the spec was compromised in the iPhone 13 Mini is in its battery capacity. The device has a battery backup of 2438 mAh whereas the Apple iPhone 12 has a better 2815 mAh battery. The fast charge support on the two devices however remain the same.
So for a person who wants a compact size phone which offers good performance, the Apple iPhone 13 Mini can be a good option. However if you are a person who wants a larger display and a better battery backup, then the iPhone 13 Mini is not the smartphone for you and it is better to choose the Apple iPhone 12.
