According to Redmi, it will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery.
The Xiaomi subsidiary announced on Twitter on Friday that the Redmi A1 will be available in India on September 6 at 12 p.m. A dedicated landing page for the smartphone is also available on the company’s website, revealing some specifications of the upcoming Redmi A1, which is confirmed to have a 5,000mAh battery. It will run on an unspecified MediaTek SoC and provide a “clean Android experience.”
The Redmi A1 will have dual rear AI cameras with LED flash. According to the phone’s home page, the back panel will have a leather texture design. The smartphone will be available in at least three different colors. Redmi has yet to reveal any other details, including the upcoming phone’s price in India. The Redmi A1 will be part of the ‘Diwali With Mi’ launches, according to the company.
The Redmi A1 has been spotted on the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) database and benchmarking website Geekbench, according to a previous report. According to reports, it was found in the US FCC database under model number 220733SL. The Redmi A1 is equipped with a MediaTek Helio A22 SoC.
It measures 164.67mm long and 76.56mm wide. According to the Geekbench listing, the phone could have 3GB of RAM and run Android 12 out of the box. The Redmi A1 has also visited the Bureau of Indian Standards database, according to the report. The phone had the model number 220733SI.
