Comparing the two newly unveiled smartphones, both the devices are somewhat close in terms of their specs and have similar price points in India(the 8GB/256GB variants of both smartphones are priced at Rs. 29,999). But the question is, which among them is the best?

Looking at the performance of the two devices, the Motorola Edge 40 smartphone equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chipset offers better performance than the Samsung Galaxy F54 smartphone which is powered by the brand’s own Exynos 1380 chipset.

When coming to the displays of the two devices, the Galaxy F54 smartphone features a Super AMOLED Plus display with a slightly larger 6.7″ display in comparison to the Motorola smartphone which comes with a 6.55″ P-OLED display. Even if both the displays are of the same resolution, the display of the Motorola Edge 40 supports a 144Hz refresh rate while the Galaxy F54 has a refresh rate of 120Hz.

For its cameras, the Samsung smartphone has a better triple camera setup at its rear with a 108MP main camera whereas the Motorola smartphone only has a 50MP dual camera setup. However, regarding the ultrawide angle camera, the Galaxy F54 comes with an 8MP ultrawide camera and in comparison, the Motorola smartphone offers a 13MP ultrawide angle camera at its rear. For selfies, both devices have the same front-facing camera of 32MP.

Speaking of the battery backups offered, the Samsung Galaxy F54 is backed by a massive 6000 mAh battery, far better than the 4400 mAh battery backup offered in the Motorola smartphone. The two devices also support fast charging features, but the charging specs of the Samsung smartphone have not yet been revealed.

Now for the verdict, as mentioned both the smartphones fall in the same price range and in terms of their specs have each of its pros and cons. The performance offered in the Motorola smartphone is the best while the display used in the Galaxy F54 is the largest. The cameras of the Galaxy F54 are also better compared to the Motorola Edge 40 and regarding the battery backup, there is an evident difference. So looking at the overall specifications, even if the smartphone falls a little back on its performance, the Samsung Galaxy F54 is the better smartphone of the two.
