OPPO Trademarks its AR, VR, MR and XR Glasses: Here’s More About it

OPPO has trademarked the OPPO AR Glass, the OPPO VR Glass, the OPPO XR Glass and the OPPO MR Glass which confirms that some of these products will launch out of China in some of the global markets.

OPPO Glasses

OPPO had first brought its AR glasses in 2019 and later in 2021 brought an improved version of the device. The company had also showcased its XR technology for the first time at the Augmented World Expo USA held in North America in 2022.

Now as per a recent post by the tipster Mukul Sharma on the Twitter platform, the company has trademarked its AR Glass, VR Glass, XR Glass and its MR Glass. This has indicated that some of the products can be expected in some of the global markets as well.

OPPO’s latest version of the AR Glass which came out in 2021 is a much more lighter version of its previous AR Glass. The 2021 AR Glass is 75% more lighter and and can be connected to a smartphone using the USB type C port.

Comparing to the previous version, the 2021 version has 53% increased contrast, 98% increase in brightness uniformity and 40% more pixels per degree than the before.

The device features a 0.71″ OLED display along with a customized large amplitude speaker. It also has a semi open rear cavity acoustic design. All these will enable its users to witness a visual audio experience similar to a home theatre.

Users will also be able to interact with the glass using their paired smartphones. The cameras place inside the glass will also be able to recognize upto 21 markers on a single hand as well.

Speaking of the use of the device, the company claims that the device can be used for AR video streaming and to play AR games. The company has also planned to share the technology with developers to create AR specific apps to extend the applicability of such devices.
