The Vivo Y78 5G as mentioned is an upcoming smartphone and the specifications of the device are not available as of now. For the comparison, the specification based on an unofficial preliminary analysis published on 91mobiles has been used.
Based on the comparison of the two devices, it has turned out that the Vivo Y78 5G doesn’t match up with the previously launched OPPO Reno 8 5G smartphone.
The Vivo Y78 is expected to come equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 1100 chipset with a clock speed of 2.6 GHz and compared to this, the OPPO Reno 8 has a much better chipset. The OPPO device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 (6 nm) chipset with a faster primary clock speed of 3.0 GHz.
Regarding the display panels, the two devices have the same AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. However, it should be noted that the Vivo Y78 is expected to have a display panel with a screen size of 6.58 inches which is slightly larger than that of the 6.4″ display offered in the OPPO smartphone.
On the rear, both devices have the same triple camera setup with a 50MP main camera and additional 8MP and 2MP cameras. When it comes to the front-facing camera, the Vivo Y78 is expected to have a 16MP selfie camera while the OPPO smartphone has a front camera of 32MP.
Recently the Vivo Y78 was spotted on the NCC(National Communications Commission) certification website and it has been revealed that the device will have a 5000 mAh battery with a fast charge support of upto 44W. On comparing this with that of the OPPO Reno 8 5G smartphone, in terms of battery backup, the Vivo Y78 5G offers a better battery backup but falls behind when looking at its fast charge feature. The OPPO Reno 8 5G offers a better fast charger feature of upto 80W and also supports a reverse charging feature.
So on looking at the overall specifications of the two devices, the Vivo Y78 doesn’t match up with the specs offered in the OPPO Reno 8 smartphone making the OPPO Reno 8 5G the best smartphone in this comparison. However, it should also be noted that this comparison is based on the unofficial preliminary analysis of the Vivo Y78 and we’ll have to wait to confirm the above-mentioned specifications.
