Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus NBTC certified, launch likely in January
Recently, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and Galaxy S24 were spotted in the database of Thailand’s NBTC certification. Now, the remaining model in the series, the Galaxy S24 Plus, has also been approved by the NBTC authority. With all three S24 models certified in Thailand, it appears that the series could be heading for a January launch.
As the above screenshot shows, the Galaxy S24 Plus, identified with model number SM-S926B/DS has been approved by the NBTC. As usual, the certification does not reveal anything significant about the specifications of the S24+. Here is a look at its rumoured specifications.

According to reports, the Galaxy S24 Plus will arrive with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display that offers a Quad HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone will come preloaded with One UI 6.1-based Android 14 and is expected to bring support for Samsung’s Galaxy AI. For security, it will have an in-screen fingerprint scanner.
Depending on the region, the Galaxy S24+ is expected to arrive with the Exynos 2400 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. The latter could be an overclocked version dubbed the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy. It may arrive with 12 GB of RAM and 128 GB / 256 GB of built-in storage. It may pack a 4,900mAh battery that supports 25W wired, 15W wireless, and 10W reverse wireless charging.
The Galaxy S24+ will have a 12-megapixel camera on the front. Its rear camera setup may comprise a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
Rumours are rife that the Galaxy S24 series will be unveiled on Jan. 17. It is also speculated that it will be available for purchase in different markets by Jan. 30.
