Aditya L-1 succeeds on reaching final destination; President and Prime Minister congratulated the scientists and the nation
The Aditya L-1 mission spacecraft was launched by ISRO aboard the PSLV C57 at 11:50 am IST on September 2, 2023. It took off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC), Sriharikota. Recent updates have asserted that the Sun-bound Aditya L-1 spacecraft successfully landed at the final destination, Larange Point L1 point on Friday, 6 January 2024 at 4:17 pm IST.
For the unversed, the mission of Aditya L-1 is to study the Sun extensively and pave new aspects for research. It is the maiden observatory by India to study the Sun.
