Bellatrix Aerospace, Indian Space company confirms Space Qualification for their Arka and Rudra space propulsion systems launched onboard ISRO’s PSLV C-58

Bellatrix Aerospace, the Indian Space company in its recent updates confirmed that their next-generation space propulsion systems, the ARKA and RUDRA have accomplished Space Qualification. Bellatrix Aerospace successfully launched the Rudra and Arka propulsion systems onboard ISRO’s PSLV C-58 launch vehicle on 1st January 2024.

With this success, Bellatrix Aerospace is now open to supply propulsion systems globally. On similar grounds, we recently covered Dhruva Space’s LEAP-TD success with which they are now open to providing hosted payload solutions to the global market. You can check more about it here.

The Rudra: The Rudra is a green propulsion system that replaces hazardous hydrazine with a non-toxic, environment-friendly proprietary propellant. This innovation will help the company to maintain the Indian space program’s global push for sustainable exploration. According to Bellatrix Aerospace, Rudra would be an ideal propulsion system for missions that require high thrust requirements.

The Arka: On the other hand, the Arka electric engine comes with a compact design and potent thrust. It uses electricity instead of chemical propellants, which enables fuel efficiency and more precise control. With this, space programs will be able to make way for longer-lasting and more maneuverable satellites. Arka would be an ideal engine for missions that require high efficiency.

Bellatrix Aerospace is an Indian R&D company that specializes in the development of in-space propulsion systems and Orbital launch vehicles.
