Bhutanese officials can participate in an ISRO satellite data processing training session
On May 6, 2022, Shri Somanath, S., Chairman, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)/ Secretary, Department of Space, Government of India, inaugurated a bespoke training programme for Bhutan authorities as part of ongoing India-Bhutan space collaboration. The occasion was attended by the Ambassador of India to Bhutan, the Scientific Secretary of ISRO, the Directors of ISRO Centres, and officials from the Royal Government of Bhutan.
This one-month programme will provide 21 officials from seven Bhutanese government departments with the skills to receive, handle, and analyse data from the INS-2TD satellite (launched on February 14, 2022).
