Chinese scientist claims, they have probably detected signal from Extraterrestrial Intelligence
It’s not regular that scientists claim a possible first contact with an Extraterrestrial Intelligence.
The details –
A team of scientists who scans for distinct signaps for Extraterrestrial Intelligence says, they’ve found ‘Suspicious Signals’, reports by Science and Technology Daily, the official newspaper of China’s Ministry of Science and Technology.
Zhang Tongjie, chief scientist of China ET Civilization Research Group told the paper, ‘The possibility that a suspicious signal is some kind of radio interference is also very high, and it needs to be further confirmed and ruled out, which can be a long process’.
However, while processing 2019 data, the scientist found a unusual signals obtained by the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Telescope (FAST).
Additionally, the researchers were fast to point out signals when they strongly claimed about it.
Alongside, we should take this claims with a pinch of salt as we have to see a scientific paper yet.
‘This is interesting, but don’t get too excited,’ SpaceNews journalist Andrew Jones tweeted.
Although, the fast telescope is better at the task for looking at Alien civilization which recently collapsed Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico.
A radio telescope which is used to probe night sky for signals for of intelligence life in the past.

Moreover, Tongjie mentioned that the telescope is much sensitive and more capable to accept signals from wider range of sky in its 19 – beam receiver.
‘The fastest telescope will repeat observations of suspicious signals that have already been discovered to further identify and detect new signals’, Tongjie added.
However, the scientist team is already excited for confirming the possibility of world – altering discovery or rejecting it.
Tongjie told the paper, “We look forward to the FAST telescope being the first to discover and confirm the existence of extraterrestrial civilizations,”
A researcher at the National Astronomical Observatories, Peng Bo added that the suspicious signals were likely of alien origin, “but we don’t have time to identify it.”
