Covid-19 Vaccine dry run

First, the question arises is that what we mean by a dry run after all?

By dry run, we simply mean the rollout of the plan how, when, and who all will get the first shot of vaccine trial. Before the real execution, it is extremely important to have clarity and a functional plan for the distribution of the vaccine. Our population is high enough and if we are not careful enough to take every precaution possible we will end up making the situation worse for all of us.

On Dec 28 and 29 first round of dry was executed in 4 states. Those states are Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, and Gujarat. From Jan 2nd a massive campaign will get underway across all states and UT.

In the dry run, the plan of distribution, vaccination, and certification will be laid out. All states have affirmed to use and approach the IT platform to ensure transparency and effective monitoring of vaccination processes.

After Britain India has also accorded for the Oxford manufactured vaccine. It said that 2 doses of vaccine would be required after an interval of a few days. It is anticipated to have an effectiveness of 90 to 62 percent. However, vaccines manufactured by US-based pharmaceuticals company Pfizer have more effectiveness than UK manufactured vaccine but the problem is that Pfizer manufactured vaccine needs to be stored at a much higher temperature which makes it difficult to handle.

Meanwhile, the government has not made it compulsory to get vaccine shots for every citizen. Till now 83 crore syringes have been brought to India.
