Elon Musk gave few features of Sun and its importance, Here is what you should know

Elon Musk, has been an advocate of renewable energy ever since. He has has been in the limelight for producing one of the best electric cars out there. He has made several statements why people should use green energy instead of cars running on gas.

WHile some may feel that he is doing it so because he has his own company making electric cars but that is fine as he is supporting green energy. Today Elon Musk posted a reply to a tweet in which a user said Civilization will be mostly solar-powered in the future.”

Elon gave a very nice reply to the post by saying that Almost all of Earth’s energy comes from the sun already – we would be a dark iceball at near absolute zero if not for the sun. And essentially the entire ecosystem is solar-powered. Civilization uses a tiny amount of energy by comparison. Not hard to generate from wind/solar.

Renewable capacity is expected to further increase over 8% in 2022, reaching almost 320 GW. However, unless new policies are implemented rapidly, growth remains stable in 2023 because solar PV expansion cannot fully compensate for lower hydropower and steady year-on-year wind additions.

The world generated a record 10% of its electricity from wind and solar in 2021 and clean sources accounted for 38% of total power supply — even more than coal. That’s according to a report published on Wednesday by Ember.
