Elon Musk shares his happiness over SpaceX’s 129 orbital flights

Since June 2010, the Falcon 9 family of rockets have launched 131 times, with 129 full mission successes, one partial mission failure, and one spacecraft catastrophic loss. In addition, during the fuelling procedure, one rocket and its cargo were destroyed on the launch pad before a static fire test was scheduled.

The Falcon 9 rocket family includes the decommissioned Falcon 9 v1.0, v1.1, and v1.2 “Full Thrust” Block 1 to 4, as well as the currently operating Block 5 evolution, which is designed and operated by private company SpaceX. Falcon Heavy is a heavy-lift variant of Falcon 9, with a reinforced central core and two Falcon 9 first stages serving as side boosters.

Reusable first-stage boosters are included in the Falcon design, which may land on a ground pad near the launch site or on a drone ship at sea.  Falcon 9 became the first rocket to land propulsively after delivering a payload into orbit in December 2015.  This achievement resulted in a significant reduction in launch costs.  In 105 tries, Falcon family core boosters have successfully landed 94 times. A total of 29 boosters have flown multiple missions, with one booster flying ten flights in a row.
