Here is how ISRO may lead India attain 8% of global space economy share
The new space policy is going to be released soon and the changes and expansions brought under it can be a benefit for the Indians. India’s space sector which accounts for only 2 % of the global space economy, will be touching the 8% target this time and this is going to be possible through the hard work of the private sector along with the space agency ISRO. This change is actually going to bring a lot of relief for the private players facing certain constraints.
According to the Chairman, Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre {IN-SPACEe}, the primary goal of this strategy is to promote and assist the private sector, which plays a critical role in the space industry. He believes that ISRO may be of great assistance in the advancement of technology and the space sector.
In addition, Chairman Pawan Kumar Goenka stated, “Start-ups want additional help with technology and access to the ISRO ecosystem.
It was also claimed that for the policy to be effective, larger corporations who have been ISRO vendors might take on bigger tasks such as manufacturing massive vehicles such as PSLV and GSLV, as well as considering mentoring start-ups. Goenka said, “ISRO is also expanding its launch facilities by developing a third launchpad at Sriharikota and another spaceport in Tuticorin district of Tamil Nadu.”
