India’s Space Odyssey rewarded at ContentAsia Awards
The documentary “India’s Space Odyssey” from the Discovery + streaming service has been recognized at the ContentAsia Awards. The documentary, directed by Pria Somiah, chronicles the country’s six-decade journey into space. It received the prize for the best current affairs programme for a mono Asian market on Friday at a ceremony in Bangkok, Thailand. Other nominees in the same were, “999: Jenayah Musim Banjir,” “Dangals of Crime,” “Gaganyaan Bharat Ki Antariksh Udaan,” and “Money Mafia S2”.
Followed by R Madhavan’s narration ‘India’s Space Odyssey’ shows different scientific researches and authorities. Narrated by actor R Madhavan, “India’s Space Odyssey” features different experts from ISRO as well as space historians, and ISRO’s former chairman Dr G Madhavan Nair.
Miditech Studios produced the documentary for Warner Bros. Discovery / Discovery+ India, which was released in October 2021. According to a press release, the ContentAsia Awards include 23 categories and bring ContentAsia’s experience, depth of knowledge, and integrity into Asia’s Awards space.
Mamy renowned personalities including, platforms, producers, broadcasters and production houses from almost 18 diifferent countries and territories, including Cambodia, China, Brunei , Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Mongolia, Myanmar, Pakistan, and Singapore attended the Awards show.
