James Webb Space Telescope launches from French Guiana
NASA brings an unique gift for astronomers and skywatchers. On December 25, 07:20 am EST, (5.50 pm IST), the space agency’s largest and most important space science telescope will launch from Fre nch Guiana. It carries four main scientific instruments and will “ search for the unobserved format of the first galaxies, as well as to look inside dust clouds where stars and planetary systems are forming now,” according to NASA. The takeoff was listed for December 22 and later postponed to December 24 due to difficulties in electronic messages between the launch vehicle and its load. It was further delayed until Christmas Day due to poor rainfall conditions at the launch point. The telescope will find out answer for our questions about First light, Assembly of worlds, Birth of stars and protoplanetary systems and Planetary systems, and the origin of life.
