Lie back and think of Mars, Elon Musk is actually working on it

Elon Musk tweeted about lie back and think of mars on his Twitter.

“You want to wake up in the morning and think the future is going to be great – and that’s what being a spacefaring civilization is all about. It’s about believing in the future and thinking that the future will be better than the past. And I can’t think of anything more exciting than going out there and being among the stars.” -Elon Musk

Mars is one of Earth’s nearest livable neighbors, at a distance of 140 million miles. Because Mars is nearly half as far away from the Sun as Earth, it nevertheless receives adequate sunlight. It’s a little chilly, but we can get it warmed up. Because its atmosphere is mostly CO2, with traces of nitrogen, argon, and a few other trace components, we may grow plants on Mars simply by compressing the atmosphere. Because the gravity on Mars is about 38% that of Earth, you’d be able to carry large objects and bound around. Furthermore, the day is strikingly similar to Earth’s.

Diameter 6,791 km / 4,220 mi
Day Length 24 hrs 37 min
Force of Gravity 38% of Earth
Avg Distance from Earth 225Mkm / 140Mmi
Age 4.5 billion years

According to the SpaceX website, only  months are left for the Mars Mission.
