NASA reveals what sound waves of the black hole sounds like

NASA proved that the black hole isn’t ominously silent. NASA managed to capture sounds of the black hole and it is interesting to note that it sounds strange and eerie like the soundtrack of a horror movie.

NASA captured the soundwaves of the black hole that exists 200 million light years away from us. The black hole exists in the center of the Perseus galaxy cluster. The Perseus galaxy cluster is a 11 million-light year-wide bundle of galaxies surrounded by hot gas.

The Perseus galaxy cluster is thus a giant cloud of gas. This is how the scientists managed to capture the sound of the black hole. We know that sound needs a medium to travel. However, space is a vacuum, thus making most believe that there is no sound in space.

But the giant cloud of gas around the black hole makes it possible to capture its unique sound. The black hole lies at a close proximity to all the gas, thus making itself possible to get beyond the space sound vacuum. This left a way for the scientists to focus on the hot gas ripples.

The frequency of the sound waves of the black hole are not audible to the human ear. NASA’s equipment however is capable of capturing it. Their equipment recorded and pitched it into human audible frequencies making it possible for us to experience the soundscape.
