SpaceX Starship Flight 8 will launch on Friday; Elon Musk announces on X

SpaceX Starship mega rocket is said to be the worlds biggest and most powerful rocker and the giant booster that will launch the moon lander for NASAs Artemis 3 mission that aims to land astronauts on the moon by 2027. Starship Super Heavy is a two-stage launch vehicle comprising a Super Heavy booster and the Starship spacecraft.

Till now total of 7 Starship flights have been launched among which Starship Flight 7 was launched last month only. Well SpaceX CEO, Elon Musk has now announced via the X platform that Starship Flight 8 will be launched on Friday, this week.

Just like the previous seven test missions, the rocket is said to lift off from the company’s facility near Boca China, Texas. However, the exact launch time is yet not announced by the company.

When Starship Flight 7 was launched it was able to successfully separate from its Super Heavy booster which then landed on the company’s launch tower at its Starbase facility in South Texas. However, the Ship’s upper stage exploded over the Atlantic Ocean. It was said that the explosion was likely due to a propellant leak.

The details are yet not revealed for Starship Flight 8 but it is expected that SpaceX will be hoping to achieve controlling landings for both the Super Heavy Booster and the Starship spacecraft. SpaceX may soon reveal some more details about this eighth test mission.
