SpaceX’s second Startship’s test launch failed; ended up in a fiery crash
Elon Musk’s company SpaceX launched it’s the latest prototype from the southeastern tip of Texas on Tuesday, a bullet-shaped Starship that ended in a fiery crash landing similar to its previous test which took place two months ago.
After reaching its intended altitude of 6.2 miles (10 kilometres), slightly lower than the last one; the full-scale stainless steel rocket flipped on its side and began its descent; it failed to straighten itself back up in time for a landing and slammed into the ground in flames.
The SpaceX launch commentator, John Inspruck said, “We’ve just got to work on that landing a little bit,” “Reminder — this is a test flight.”
Musk and his company have been making efforts to develop a Starship which would carry people to Mars in the near future.
However, SpaceX had plans to launch their Starship in the last week of January but failed to get the necessary approval from the Federal Aviation Administration.
