Price and Specifications of Mi 11 With Snapdragon 888 SoC, 2K Display
Xiaomi Mi 11 has now been publicly revealed as the company’s newest premium phone—weeks since being part of the rumor mill. The Mi 11 is also the first smartphone to debut with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, launched earlier this month and expected to fuel a list of luxury phones early next year. Apart from high-quality processing via the new Snapdragon SoC, the Mi 11 is also stated to feature Xiaomi’s most integrated touchscreen. Built of E4 light-emitting content, the Mi-Series phone panel features angled edges on all four sides and comes with a 2K resolution. The Mi 11 also comes with three rear cameras, with a 108-megapixel main sensor.
Price and availability details
Xiaomi Mi 11 price was set at CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs. 45,000) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage version, while the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model has a price tag of CNY 4,299 (roughly Rs. 48,300) and the top-of-the-line 12GB RAM + 256GB storage option is priced at CNY 4699 (roughly Rs. 52,800). The phone will be available for pre-orders in China beginning at 10 p.m. CST Asia tonight, with sales scheduled for January 1st. It will be available in anti-glare (AG) glass finish in Horizon Blue, Frost White, and Midnight Gray shades. There will also be a version of Vegan leather in Lilac Purple and Honey Beige colors. Xiaomi has not given a word about its global launch.
In February, to provide some perspective, the Mi 10 was released in China with the same pricing structure. It debuted in India at a starting price of Rs. 49,999.
The basic edition of the Mi 11 in China does not have an in-box adapter, while the package variant has a separate 55W GaN charger. In specific, all models will be available at the same price.
Specifications
The dual-SIM (Nano) Xiaomi Mi 11 runs on Android 10 with MIUI 12.5 and features a 6.81-inch 2K WQHD (1.440×3,200 pixels) AMOLED display with 1500 peak brightness nits, 5000000:1 contrast ratio, and 515-pixel density. The hole-punch monitor also provides up to a 120Hz refresh rate that can go down to 30Hz—depending on use. There is also a 480Hz touch sampling rate.
Under the hood, the Mi 11 has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC coupled with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM.
As far as optics are concerned, the Mi 11 features a triple rear camera configuration that houses a 108-megapixel main sensor with a pixel size of 1.6 microns, an f/1.85 lens, and an optical image stabilization lens (OIS). The 1/1.33-inch primary camera sensor is said to be 3.7 times larger than the iPhone 12 and is said to be double the size of the iPhone 12 Pro Max primary camera sensor. It’s designed to record up to 8K clips.
The Mi 11 camera configuration also features a 13-megapixel secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle f/2.4 lens with a field-of-view (FoV) of 123 degrees. Also, there is a 5-megapixel tertiary sensor with an f/2.4 macro lens with a focal length of 50 millimeters. Xiaomi has also developed a patented feature for recording low-light images.
Xiaomi provided up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 capacity on the Mi 11. Smartphone networking options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/A-GPS, NFC, Infrared (IR), and USB Type-C port. It comes with stereo speakers backed by Harman Kardon sound.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 is fitted with a 4.600mAh battery that supports Mi TurboCharge 55W wired and 50W wireless charging. There is also support for 10W wireless reverse charging. The handset is 8.06mm thick and weighs 196 grams. However, the brand of Vegan leather is 8.56 mm thick and weighs 194 grams.
