Redmi 9T arrives on Jan 8; Xiaomi will ship 9 smartphones in early 2021
The launch of the Redmi 9T is planned for January 8th, according to a recent leak. The budget smartphone will be a rebranded version of Redmi Note 9 4G released in China that came to India as Redmi 9 Power with some modified specs.
The tipster, whose Twitter name is Snapdrachun 888 5G, tweeted that Xiaomi will unleash Redmi 9T on January 8. The product is confirmed to be launched in Malaysia at the beginning of January.
He also announced that Xiaomi will unleash nine smartphones worldwide in early 2021. This will include the Redmi 9T, the Mi 11 Lite 4G, and the newly introduced Mi 11.
The organization has not yet given any official launch information.
Xiaomi is expected to announce Redmi 9T as a renamed Redmi Note 9 4G. In that case, the device comes with a 6.53-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 1080 x 2340 screen resolution. The display has a waterdrop notch on the top housing the front 8MP sensor.
The computer could be operated by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal memory.
It is expected that the rear camera module will be the same as the Redmi 9 Power launched in India. It may have a 48MP main camera, combined with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor.
Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint reader, an Android 10-based MIUI 12, a 6,000 mAh battery, etc.
