Upgrades on MI Note 5, MI Note 5 Pro MIUI 12

Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Mobile users are confirmed to be getting MIUI 12 updates. Few people have already taken Twitter to announce the launch of the new version. Reports say that the latest update applies optimizations to the animations on the screen and addresses the notification shade in Dark Mode. The new update number for Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro is V12.0.2.0.PEIMIXM. The size of the upgrade is stated to be 2GB. It is recommended that users of Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro install the update with a decent Wi-Fi link and ideally when the phone is adequately charged.

Few Redmi Note 5 users have tweeted about the launch of a new MIUI 12 update. The screenshot posted in the tweet reveals that the build number is MIUI 12 V12.0.2.0.PEIMIXM. Some other sources say that the upgrade size is 2GB, so it’s necessary to free up some space before you start the installation process. Global codenamed units #Whyred are confirmed to have begun getting the upgrade, but there is no clarification as to when China and Russia will get it. Eligible global users should search for changes in Settings if they have not already received a warning.

The recorded changelog of the latest MIUI 12 update for Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro users involves the enhancement of full-screen gestures that are now missed on the lock screen and warning tab. It also optimizes animations in chosen situations and takes a new navigation option down from the top left and the right corner to open the control center. The new version also provides a patch where the notification shade was not reflected properly in Dark Mode.

It could take a few days for the update to hit you, and it’s best to wait for the OTA update to come. There is a chance that Xiaomi will be carrying out the update in stages, and you may not be getting it automatically on your Redmi Note 5 or Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphone. We’ve reached out to the organization to expand on the rollout, and we’re going to refresh this space when we hear back.
