A New Samsung Folding Device With Detachable Keyboard Patented on China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA)
The South Korean tech giant Samsung is all set to host the second Galaxy Unpacked event of this year on July 10. At this particular event, the company will be unveiling Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6 while a few other Galaxy devices are also expected to debut alongside these foldable devices- Galaxy Watch 7 series, Galaxy Buds 3 series, and Galaxy Ring.
Well apart from this upcoming event, Samsung is now reported to be working on an all-new folding device. As per a recent report by @91mobiles, Samsung Display Co. has filed a patent for a folding device with a detachable keyboard on the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA).
Above you can see the design sketches of the device with and without the keyboard. A big display is showcased with a hinge at the bottom while the keyboard is also seen attached to the bottom of the device. The device can be folded inwards including the keyboard. Samsung is expected to use a protective film for the display to protect it from the impact caused by the folding and unfolding of the device.
Though the listing of the device does not reveal exactly what this device is neither the moniker is revealed but the above images suggest that the device resembles a laptop that can easily be portable. Removing the keyboard, this device can also be used as a tablet.
In the coming days, we might get a more clearer picture of the moniker and other details of this Samsung folding device.
