Two new alleged HMD smartphones have now made it to the Element certification platform. Via a tipster’s X/Twitter update, some key specs of one of these Element-listed devices have been revealed as well.
Let’s look more into it.
Alleged HMD Smartphones – Element Certification
The alleged HMD smartphones bearing model numbers – ‘TA-1691’ and ‘TA-1661’ have been listed on the Element database and both of them are mentioned to be 4G mobile phones supporting 2G/3G/4G network connectivity. The listings point to the trademark/brand as ‘Nokia’, suggesting that these may be launched under Nokia branding. The input power of the two devices is 5 Vdc, 0.55 A and maximum operating ambient temperature is 40°C.
The certification platform also suggests that the device might be launched in the UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, United States, and Europe, through the mentioned country codes. With the official confirmation from the brand’s side, we can confirm it.
Now coming to the tipped specifications (received via @smashx60), it is the specifications of the device with model number ‘TA-1691’ that have been revealed. The tipster notes its moniker as ‘Moon Night’ and this device is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, might feature a P-OLED FHD+ display with 144Hz refresh rate, is likely to sport a quad camera unit, and could support other key specs such as aluminium metal frame, dual speakers, POGO pins, and more.
While the above certification listing states that the TA-1691 is a 4G mobile with 2G, 3G, and 4G network connectivity, the tipster has tipped it to be a 5G device. It is thus best to wait until a few more updates arrive on the same, before we jump into a conclusion.
