Sony is rumored to launch its latest Xperia 1 VII smartphone this year and previously it was revealed that the device was expected to arrive with a camera upgrade. Well, this device is expected to be accompanied by one more Xperia device.
Tipster spektykles revealed some details about a new Sony mid-range device in the Esato forum (Via). The device name is not revealed but it is believed that the device could be Sony Xperia 10 VII. It is expected that this device may be launched along with the Sony Xperia 1 VII this year.
As per the tipster, the device will arrive with a 120Hz OLED screen. The predecessor of Sony Xperia 10 VII, the Sony Xperia 10 VI also features an OLED panel but it offers a 60Hz refresh rate, though the device has a 120z touch scanning rate. However, it is believed that the tipster is talking about the screen refresh rate of the Sony Xperia 10 VII. Further, the display could also offer a 16:9 aspect ratio.
Further, it was also mentioned that Sony will not be recycling the last-gen SoC (Snapdragon 6 Gen 1) anymore and will give it a new one. It is expected that Sony may use Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 SoC for the upcoming smartphone.
