iPhone 17 Air and Galaxy S25 Slim – Tipped Thickness and Battery Capacity Range

In the past, we have already come across updates concerning the upcoming iPhone 17 series and Galaxy S25 series. The latter is already confirmed to make its debut this month on the 22nd of January 2025 at the Galaxy Unpacked event, while just like always, Apple could unveil its latest iPhone 17 series in the month of September or October 2025 (assumption). What is exciting this year is that, both these brands are said to launch new ultra thin models in their latest flagship series.

Now, based on the recent update from Digital Chat Station, the upcoming ultra thin models of the iPhone 17 series and Galaxy S25 series, the iPhone 17 Air and Galaxy S25 Slim, are suggested to feature a body thickness of between 5.x mm – 6.x mm. Unfortunately, their batteries are pointed out to have only 3000 mAh – 4000 mAh± capacity. Furthermore, the tipster also points to the concerns of heat dissipation and battery life too, that the flagship processors will have to deal with.

Also, the tipster’s post notes that following the Apple’s iPhone 17 Air (and may be Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Slim), other companies may also release ultra-thin ‘mid-range’ smartphones, however, probably with 5K+ mAh batteries and likely with good camera specs. In related news, when compared with the iPhone 17 Air, the Galaxy S25 Slim is also revealed to offer a stronger camera system in a thin and light-weight form factor design and it could be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip itself according to a recent Geekbench listing.
