Apple iPhone 17 Series Standard Version – Tipped to Support a Higher Refresh Rate

So far, Apple has only been offering 60Hz refresh rate support on its standard and plus models, whereas the pro and pro max models with the help of the ProMotion Technology have been able to support an adaptive refresh rate of 1-120Hz. While loyal Apple users always appreciate this claiming it to be better or good for their use, Android smartphone users via X and other social media platforms do taunt them for this. We have also seen how several tech reviewers have pointed this out in their videos and updates, stating that it is high time for Apple to provide higher refresh rate support on its smartphone devices.

Well, a new update from tipster Digital Chat Station reveals now that based on the supply chain materials, the standard version of the iPhone 17 series, the iPhone 17 smartphone model, this time would be supporting a higher refresh rate. While the tipster hasn’t mentioned the exact refresh rate support, it is obviously above the 60Hz refresh rate support that has been on offer for quite a long time. Since this is about the standard model, the change can likely be expected on the higher models as well (assuming).

Speaking more, with respect to the latest Android smartphone devices, beyond 120Hz, brands have been offering 144Hz, 165Hz, and 185Hz refresh rate support on their products. The recently unveiled ROG Phone 9 series models came with 185Hz refresh rate support, and there are many non-gaming-focused devices too which offer 144Hz refresh rate or maybe more.

Regarding the design language, Apple’s iPhone 17 series from previous updates are suggested to offer a new pill-shaped horizontally-placed projected camera module similar to latest Google Pixel smartphones, along with slimmer bezels and smaller Dynamic Island.

More updates concerning the iPhone 17 series will likely be shared in the coming days, weeks, and months, with which, we’ll be able to know more details. Stay tuned and don’t miss out on any future updates.
