CMF Phone (2) India launch imminent as spotted on the BIS certification

Nothing’s sub-brand CMF is gearing up to launch a new smartphone—the successor to the CMF Phone (1). The device was previously spotted in the IMEI database with the model number A001 and the codename Galaga, alongside the Nothing Phone (3a) series. Now, the same model number has appeared on the Indian BIS certification website. While the BIS listing doesn’t confirm the device’s name, the earlier IMEI listing identified it as the CMF Phone (2).

The listing, first spotted by 91Mobiles, further confirms that the CMF Phone (2) is on its way. Meanwhile, Nothing has already announced the launch date for the Nothing Phone (3a) series. Rumors suggest that the CMF Phone (2) may debut in April.

In addition, the CMF Buds 2 Plus was spotted today in an FCC certification filing. This suggests that Nothing may introduce two CMF-branded products in April—a TWS (true wireless stereo) earbud and the CMF Phone (2).

Like the Nothing Phone (3a) series, the CMF Phone (2) is also rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor. And if it turns out to be true, then it would definitely be an upgrade over the CMF Phone (1).

With multiple certifications surfacing, it looks like Nothing is gearing up for a busy launch cycle in the coming months.
