ColorOS 15 To Support Live Photo And iOS Airdrop Feature but with a catch; Claims Tipster

Airdrop features in Apple devices have been there for quite some time now. This feature allows Apple users to wirelessly send photos, videos, documents, and more to other nearby iPhones and Mac computers.

However, OEMs like Samsung and Google did introduce Quick share and nearby share features that offered similar functionality to Airdrop, but they only worked within their ecosystem. Well in a recent Weibo post by Digital Chat Station, the tipster has shared a major update regarding ColorOS 15 which might excite you.

According to the tipster, ColorOS 15 will be supporting the iOS Airdrop feature. Yes, you read that right, the tipster has further confirmed replying to a user, that the devices running ColorOS 15 will be able to transfer pictures and files between iOS devices. Well, it would be quite exciting that now Android devices will be able to share files with iOS devices using the Airdrop feature, but this will be possible only if the iOS devices download a particular app.

As per the tipster, the ColorOS 15 Airdrop feature can transfer photos and files between iOS devices, but iOS devices need to download apps and provide some low-level interactive experience.

The tipster has also mentioned that ColorOS 15 will also be supporting the Live Photo feature, this feature was also available on iPhone. This feature enables the device to record what happens 1.5 seconds before and 1.5 seconds after you’ve taken a picture. Then you can pick a different key photo and edit your live photo.
