Google Pixel 9a Smartphone Global and India Launch Dates Tipped: Possibly Launching in March 2025 Itself
Google’s fifth and upcoming smartphone model of the Pixel 9 series – the Google Pixel 9a smartphone as per earlier reports was suggested to debut this month in March 2025 and now, the global and Indian launch dates for this smartphone have been tipped.

This update comes from the X tipster – @heyitsyogesh and according to what has been shared, the Google Pixel 9a global launch is expected to take place on the 19th of March 2025, whereas the India launch may be taking place a day later on the 20th of March 2025. This further reiterates that as said earlier, the launch of Google’s Pixel 9a could be taking place this month itself, two months ahead of the previous Pixel 8a’s launch time frame.
Speaking more, the upcoming Pixel 9a smartphone of Google was spotted on the FCC and EMVCo certification databases, and its full specs and pricing were revealed online. Moreover, with its live images, renders, and the prototype model, its possible design language has also been revealed.
Google Pixel 9a – Expected/Revealed Key Specs
The Google Pixel 9a is expected to use the brand’s own Tensor G4 chip, coupled with the Titan M2 security chip, and it is likely going to have the Android 15 OS out of the box. It is also revealed to be offered with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and 128/256GB UFS 3.1 storage options. A 6.285″ Actual display screen with 2700 nits peak brightness, 1800 nits DR brightness, & Gorilla Glass 3 protection may be featured as well.
At the rear, a 48MP (GN8 quad dual pixel primary camera) + 13MP (Sony IMX712 ultra-wide angle camera) dual rear camera system is believed to be present. For selfies, a 13MP front-facing camera may also be offered. It is said to pack a 5100 mAh battery, which could also be supporting 23W wired & 7.5W wireless fast charging features.
About the pricing, the 128GB and 256GB storage models are probably going to be priced at USD 499 and USD 599, respectively.
