Google will soon launch a new smartwatch named Google Pixel Watch 3. This smartwatch can be launched alongside Pixel 9 series smartphones. Recently its renders were leaked online that showed that the smartwatch can come with the same design as its predecessor. Now the Google Pixel Watch 3 cellular version has been spotted on Singapore’s IMDA certification website with the model number GBDU9. As per the listing, the smartwatch supports Ultra-wideband (UWB), Wi-Fi 6 (abgn,ac+ax), and Bluetooth.
The listing says that the smartwatch supports Ultra Wideband which is known for its precise location and tracking capabilities, often accurate to within a few centimeters. This is said to be better than Bluetooth LE connection in terms of stability. There are chances that it will allow users to locate the watch easily through the Find My Device app and this UWB can also be used as a car key as some of the companies’ cars support UWB-based car keys.
The smartwatch has also appeared on FCC with four different model numbers of which three models support Ultra-Wideband and 5 GHz Wi-Fi. These four different model numbers are GBDU9, GG3HH, GRY0E and GGE4J. The GBDU9 and GRY0E support LTE connectivity while the GG3HH and GGE4J support just Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
Apart from these listings the smartwatch’s price, color variants, and size have also been leaked. As per a report by Dealabs the Google Pixels Watch 3(41mm) price in Europe can start from EUR 399 (~Rs. 36,500) for the Wi-Fi variant and for the cellular variant it can be priced at EUR 499 (~ Rs. 45,600). Now coming on the 45mm option of the Google Pixel Watch 3 its price can start from EUR 449 (~Rs. 41,100) and EUR 549 (~ Rs. 50,200) for the WiFi and cellular variants. As far as color option is concerned 41mm variant of the Pixel Watch 3 can come in Hazel, Obsidian, Pink, and Porcelain colourways, while the 45mm version can come in Hazel, Obsidian, and Porcelain shades.
