Google’s Pixel 9a Spotted on the EMVCo Certification Platform Ahead of its Rumored Launch Time Frame

As per recent updates, Google is expected to unveil its Pixel 9a smartphone next month and as we approach this rumored launch time frame, the upcoming device has made its way to the EMVCo certification platform. Also, few key specs have also been revealed via this certification listing.

Google Pixel 9a – EMVCo Certification
The Google Pixel 9a smartphone which has the model number of ‘GTF7P’ appeared on the EMVCo certification platform, and has received the certification with the approval number of ‘MTA_LOA_GOLL_05155’. Furthermore, the listing mentions its codename as ‘TG4 (TBD)’ and it will have the Android 15 operating system out of the box. Also, just like its predecessor, it will support NFC connectivity as well.
Speaking of previous updates, the live images, renders, and prototype design of the upcoming smartphone were shared online in the past months, as well as its entire specs sheet and pricing details. Google may unveil its Pixel 9a device next month in March 2025, and by the end of the month, it will be made available to consumers. It is also likely to be priced at USD 499 for the 128GB storage model.
About its revealed/expected specs, it is believed to include the Tensor G4 chip, Titan M2 security chip, 8GB LPDDR5X RAM, 128/256GB UFS 3.1 storage, 6.285″ Actual display screen (with 2700 nits peak brightness, 1800 nits DR brightness, & Gorilla Glass 3 protection), 48MP (GN8 quad dual pixel primary camera) + 13MP (Sony IMX712 ultra-wide angle camera) dual rear camera unit, 13MP selfie camera, 5100 mAh battery backup, and 23W wired & 7.5W wireless fast charging features.
